Home Values Falling at Slower Pace
May 27, 2009As US home sales rise, house prices are falling, according to the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s seasonally adjusted, purchase-only house price index, which shows first-quarter 2009 home prices were down 0.5% from Q408 prices. The pace of decline between the two quarters, however, is considerably less than the previous recording period, where prices dropped 3.3%, the Agency says.
