S&P: Home Prices Reach State of ‘No Growth’ in December
Mar 02, 2007Data released earlier this week by Standard & Poor’s for its S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices, the leading measure of U.S. home prices in the United States, shows flat returns in certain markets and the continued slowdown in growth in others during the month of December. The 10-City Composite Index has decelerated to no growth since December 2005, its lowest level since March 1996. The 20-City and U.S. National Indices have also continued to decelerate, with year-over-year growth rates of just 0.5% and 0.4%, respectively.
