FHFA proposes new rules on Fannie, Freddie capital requirements
Jun 12, 2018After placing the government-sponsored enterprises into conservatorship in September 2008, the FHFA suspended regulatory capital requirements. Now, it is proposing new rules for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s capital requirements, but the rules wouldn’t go into effect until the GSEs are out of conservatorship.
