The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) convened a roundtable of

industry experts on the topic of the Multiple Listing Service and data management issues. The

highlights of the roundtable are outlined in a new whitepaper issued by the Center for California

Real Estate, an institute from C.A.R. dedicated to intellectual engagement in the field of real

estate.

The timing of the roundtable coincided with a major announcement from the NATIONAL

ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) about its decision to fund a joint project between

NAR subsidiary Realtors Property Resource® (RPR) and a broker-backed initiative called

Project Upstream. This project served as an important backdrop to the roundtable’s discussion.
