Tyler Hodgson is the Executive Vice President of Growth at UMortgage and was the Founder of NXT Mortgage. Prior to his time in the mortgage industry, Tyler served for four years in the United States Marine Corps. Following his service for our nation, Tyler entered the finance realm, earning his Master's Degree from University of North Texas and becoming licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. In late 2016, Tyler founded NXT Mortgage—a Dallas-area brokerage focused on company culture and team member experience. NXT became the #1 brokerage in the state of Texas. This success and record-breaking growth was recognized by ranking on the INC 5000 list for most successful private companies in the nation in 2021, 2022, and 2023. With an aligned vision for the future of loan origination, NXT merged with UMortgage in 2022 and appointed Tyler as EVP of Growth. Tyler contributes to the success of the company through his personal production, branch growth, and influence on company-wide projects and initiatives. NXT's volume has increased every year, despite market headwinds, and Tyler has been ranked on Scotsman Guide every year since 2018. Outside of the office, Tyler enjoys his spare time with his wife, daughter, and newborn son. He’s an avid runner and has been spotted serving aces on the beach volleyball court. He’s incredibly passionate about coaching others and inspiring individuals to reach their full potential.
