PRMI’s Sless Group Adds Susserman as Loan Originator

Primary Residential Mortgage (PRMI)’s Steven J. Sless Group, the lender’s consumer-direct retail branch focused solely on reverse mortgages in Owings Mills, Md., has hired Joseph Susserman as a reverse mortgage loan originator to its primary office.

Joseph Susserman

Susserman has 10 years of mortgage industry experience he will be bringing to his new role, including from previous stints at companies including Huron Valley Financial, Home Point Financial and Maverick Funding Corp. The more consultative approach that comes with working in the reverse mortgage industry is something Susserman appreciates about the business segment, he says.

“I enjoy assisting seniors to help them live a better retirement,” Susserman said in an announcement of his hiring. “I am excited to join the Steven J. Sless Group of PRMI – one of the leading reverse mortgage teams in the industry – and bring my experience and enthusiasm to help it grow.”

“Joe Susserman is a top-level producer with a proven track record of success in the reverse mortgage space,” said Steven J. Sless, PRMI’s national reverse mortgage division manager and branch manager with the Steven J. Sless Group. “Having previously worked with him and launched reverse mortgage divisions for other lenders, I know what a profound impact he will have on our organization. Our entire team is excited to welcome Joe with open arms.”

The hiring of Susserman follows recent additions the company has made, including its first remote hire stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as another loan officer and a processing manager earlier this year.

PRMI opened the Steven J. Sless Group in the summer of 2019 as the first branch for the company that deals exclusively with reverse mortgages.
