Nationwide Mortgage Bankers Inc. (NMB) has named Traci Harding as its executive vice president of credit risk and product development, the company announced earlier this week.
Harding joins the Melville, New York-based lender with more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry. She will be based in NMB’s new Southeast operations center in Charlotte, where the company has expanded to 40 processors, underwriters and loan officers since opening the office earlier this year.
NMB said in a press release that the hire is part of a broader expansion that includes new offices along the Interstate 485 corridor and 12 additional locations nationwide so far this year.

Before joining NMB, Harding spent nearly nine years at Movement Mortgage as senior vice president and director of credit risk and loan quality. She previously held several leadership positions at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
“I am beyond excited to join the NMB family,” Harding said. “Not only do the company’s core values align with how I function at my own core, but I’m also inspired by our lending purpose — helping families continue their pursuit of homeownership. This is clearly a company of people who truly care, not just about business results, but about each other. People genuinely matter here.”
Company founder and chairman Richard Steinberg said Harding’s experience in credit risk and product development will support NMB’s continued growth.
“Traci’s professional experience, along with her dynamic, production-based mindset, is a perfect combination for NMB’s pursuit of operational excellence,” said Mary O’Sullivan, NMB’s chief operating officer. “The executive team and the entire NMB family are truly excited to welcome Traci to Nationwide Mortgage Bankers.”
Harding, a longtime Charlotte resident, has worked across credit risk management, policy development and loan quality assurance throughout her career.
