Movement Mortgage announced two internal promotions to its executive leadership team. Lyra Waggoner has been named chief operating officer, and Anna Benz has been appointed chief fulfillment officer, reporting to Waggoner.

“These leadership changes reflect our commitment to winning by attracting and developing the best talent,” said Casey Crawford, Movement’s chief executive officer. “Lyra and Anna are incredible teammates who have led high-performing teams, and we cannot wait to see the impact they will have in expanded roles inside our organization.”

Waggoner joined Movement in 2022 as chief information officer, where she oversaw an overhaul of the company’s technology systems. The effort brought together loan origination, CRM, servicing data and customer and partner portals into a single platform known as MORE.

Waggoner, who has worked in the mortgage industry for two decades, has also held roles such as senior vice president at Caliber Home Loans and executive vice president and head of technology at Level Capital LLC.

“I’m honored to step into this role, leading a winning team that is differentiated by our culture and mission,” Waggoner said. “It’s an exciting time to have a brand-new end-to-end platform made for today’s market.”

Benz, who joined Movement four years ago, has been involved in developing the company’s non-agency lending business and recruiting loan officers. She has also represented Movement at industry events focused on business growth for real estate professionals.

She has over 30 years of mortgage industry experience, including eight years at New American Funding, where she launched and led its non-agency division. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Union Bank, managing the private bank and purchase money division.

“Movement’s mission and culture inspire me every day, and I’m excited to lead fulfillment with a focus on service and efficiency,” Benz said.
