Eric Kolchinsky, the former Moody’s Investors Service analyst who criticized the ratings firm at a Congressional hearing, was hired by state insurance regulators to provide insight on home-loan securities. Kolchinsky is aiding regulators as they eliminate their reliance on credit grades on residential mortgage-backed securities provided by his former employer and other ratings firms, said Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner Sean Dilweg.
