Guaranteed Rate adds one of the nation's top loan originators

Guaranteed Rate adds one of the nation's top loan originators

Retail mortgage lender Guaranteed Rate announced this week it hired Marc Demetriou as vice president of mortgage lending for the northern New Jersey area.

Demetriou joins the company with nearly 15 years of industry experience.

For three consecutive years, Demetriou was named one of the 50 Most Connected Mortgage Professionals in the USA by National Mortgage Professional Magazine and he consistently ranks in the top 1% of mortgage originators by industry sources such as the Mortgage Executive Magazine and the Scotsman Guide.

In New Jersey, Demetriou has been featured in NJBIZ‘s “40 Under 40” and is called upon frequently by the real estate, finance, accounting and legal communities as an expert and speaker. Demetriou is also a certified and licensed instructor, offering continuing education credits to accountants, real estate agents, financial planners and managed care professionals.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Guaranteed Rate team,” said Demetriou. “As a nationally recognized brand, Guaranteed Rate will allow me to expand my business while continuing to give my clients exceptional service, which will be even more enhanced by the company’s innovative digital platform and mortgage solutions.”

This hire comes after Guaranteed Rate brought back Michael Gambatese as a senior vice president of mortgage lending in December.

The company also announced in December its partnership with Goldman Sachs, where customers can get a personal loan through Marcus to “finance their home improvement projects or consolidate their debt.”
