For the last several years, the conversation among reverse professionals has largely centered on how we can better connect with financial advisors to promote the HECM.

Lenders have established financial planning channels whose sole mission is to target this demographic. NRMLA conferences have featured panel discussions and expert presentations designed to help members learn how to establish connections. And everyone, it seems, is hosting webinars on the topic.

With so much energy focused in this direction, it seems wise to take a step back and assess whether it’s made a difference. Has this collective push helped move the needle at all? In this issue of TRR, we talk to financial planning experts and industry leaders to find out.
