Richey May launches dashboard for HMDA data

Allows lenders to drill down on specific markets

Richey May recently launched its new reporting dashboards on its website that includes, among other things, the most recent Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data.

HMDA is a federal law that requires most financial institutions to provide mortgage data to the public.

Currently, the company put up and organized the 2014 HMDA data into a dashboard that allows lenders to search specific markets and companies.

While the 2014 info is on there now, as soon as the 2015 HMDA data is released, the company will update the dashboard and lenders will have immediate access to HMDA’s data from 2015.

This new dashboard will help lenders sort through HMDA data, which is traditionally cumbersome and difficult to navigate, according to Richey May.

Here are some examples of how the dashboard organizes the data:

But Richey May isn’t the first one to organize HMDA data. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau not only organizes the data, but also has an entire area of its site dedicated to educating the public to the rule.
