Bellwether Enterprise brings on new executive vice president

Real estate veteran Todd Harrop to fill the role

Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital, a mortgage banking subsidiary of Enterprise Community Investment, announced that real estate veteran Todd Harrop was hired to fill the role of executive vice president and national director of capital markets for market rate products.

Harrop will be based in Bellwether Enterprise’s Columbus, Ohio office. One of his responsibilities includes overseeing all of the company’s nationwide market rate transactions.

“Todd has had an excellent track record in commercial real estate over the past two decades,” Bellwether Enterprise president Ned Huffman said. “He brings a unique and valuable perspective to our organization and his experience will make him an invaluable asset to our clients. I am thrilled to welcome him to our Columbus office and to our national team.”

Previously, Harrop worked at Nationwide Insurance for 25 years, where he managed the firm’s commercial mortgage loan and mezzanine and equity organizations, as well as its commercial real estate portfolio totaling about $11 billion. In addition, he also supervised the company’s third party loan participation program, loan servicing and real estate research.

In his personal life, Harrop extends his industry knowledge and service to his alma mater Ohio State University, where he is a board member for the Center for Real Estate.
