Police arrest fugitive Southlake title company owner

Seized near Chicago

Police arrested Millennium Title owner Nancy Jackson Carroll Thursday in Illinois after being accused of leaving town with stolen money, according to an article by Scott Gordon in NBC DFW.

The article states that Carroll who also went by Nancy Jackson Spinks, was booked into jail on charges of theft and being a fugitive from justice.

Carroll was a fugitive from the law after vanishing nearly two weeks ago.

She has no bond, pending extradition back to Texas. She was finally arrested in Lake County near Chicago.

This all began after NBC DFW covered the story of Millennium Title, which was taken over and closed last week by the Texas Department of Insurance.

The NBC DFW reported that one investor said he lost $1 million in the Southlake title company.

The Texas Department of Insurance set up a website for customers to submit a claim if they were owed escrow money by the now-defunct title company.
