Here’s what homes built specifically for Millennials look like

The idea behind a responsive home

A new housing community put Millennials’ needs at the forefront of its design plans, given that they are the next largest cohort of homebuyers. Per the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

According to the article, Pardee Homes' two newest home models are specifically designed for millennial homebuyers and will kick off the 2016 International Builders' Show next week.

So what does a Millennial-based home look like?

The homes are available in two customizable floor plans: a contemporary farmhouse design with three to four bedroom, 3.5 to 4.5 bath at 2,145 square feet; contemporary transitional floor plan with four bedroom, 3.5 baths and nearly 3,200 square feet.

"You're not likely to find these in other neighborhoods," said Pardee Southern Nevada Division President Klif Andrews. "We looked at what the millennial audience is buying and what their tastes are."

"They're nostalgic about homes and what kinds of homes they grew up in," he said. "That's why we're offering an older style farmhouse as an option."
