Houston-based Envoy Mortgage announced that its president, Patrick Walden, has been named president and CEO. Rick Thompson, who was Envoy’s CEO for six years, remains with the company as an owner.
Walden and Thompson have led Envoy in a dual leadership structure since 2011. Walden and Thompson acquired ownership interest in Envoy and joined the company in 2008.
“I am very confident in our future and committed to our success,” Walden said. “Envoy is well-positioned for this change. It comes at a time when all of our business channels are growing impressively and gathering momentum. Recruiting is robust, our associates are engaged and positive, and our financial foundation is very strong.”
The company’s co-founders, Dana Gompers and David Zugheri, retain ownership interests in Envoy and remain active in the daily operations of the company.
