The pivot back to a more robust private-label residential mortgage-backed securities market prompted due diligence firm Clayton Holdings to expand its securitization group. The firm recently added space to its Atlanta underwriting facility.
The firm also named Dan Pinero director of securitization operations, while Joe Ozment was pegged to serve as director of securitization for client services.
The group is growing as demand picks up for due diligence on loans tied to private-label RMBS.
This year, the company performed due diligence on a handful of new securitizations, conducting reviews of 7,700 loans.
To accommodate its growing due diligence business, Clayton secured 18,000-square feet of additional space in Atlanta.
