2020 HW Tech100 Mortgage winner: Covius

Enhanced its automation and data solutions

Covius significantly enhanced its automation and data solutions beyond its core servicing base to originators, capital markets participants and the broader real estate community, thanks to a major acquisition in 2019. Last year, a renamed & refocused Covius promised the market that it would accelerate organic and external investments in tech-enabled solutions. This year, Covius acquired Chronos Solutions’ credit, flood, income and tax verification services, government services, REO management and disposition, online foreclosure auction and homeowner association tracking units.

  • Via APIs and platform integrations with tech companies like Clarifire and Mortgage Cadence, Covius clients can access a wide-range of solutions under a single MSA.
  • In 2019, a top 10 bank and servicer selected Covius to build out a solution which resulted in immediate cost savings and operational performance improvement.
  • A government-sponsored bank using a custom Covius SaaS platform saw significant improvements in their business processes and customer experience—average turnaround time decreased by 30%.
